The Great Barn's Wedding Costs

For weddings taking place after
1st January 2010

If you would like to get married with us and have your wedding reception then the facility rental for the Civil Ceremony and Wedding Reception will be:

If you are having a church wedding and would just like to have the Wedding Reception with us then the facility rental for just the Wedding Reception will be:

£3200.00

Our Rates Include:

If we have no bookings the day before, then brides and grooms are able to have access to the Barn between the hours of 9am - 5pm. If we do have a prior booking everything can be dropped off with us the day before.

Use of the Barn on the day of the wedding between (9am – 12:20 midnight). An extension can be arranged if requested.

Access on Sunday morning from 10am to collect wine, flowers, presents etc.

Use of the gardens, patio area for photography and reception drinks

Guidance and advice throughout the planning of your wedding

Personal attention throughout the preparation day and discreet management of your day

Exclusive use of The Great Barn including The Aynho and Croughton Room, gardens and Patio Area

Smoking is permitted in the gardens and outside The Great Barn.

The Great Barn provides you with high quality cutlery, glass and white china, tables (round or trestle), Ivory chairs, cake table and cloth, easel for your table plan, stands for your table names or numbers, candles on the fire places and alcoves, flower arrangements in the entrance hall and Aynho Room. A full pay bar including staff is also provided.

Wedding costs for extras if required

Hire of Disco;
8:00pm to midnight.
£25 surcharge every half an hour if earlier than 8:00pm. £260.00 inc VAT

If chair covers are required only The Great Barn’s supplier can be used. Prices on request. When paying by Credit Card there will be a 2% surcharge fee. All prices include VAT.

Wedding payment

When paying by Credit Card there will be a 2% surcharge fee.

All prices apart from catering include VAT.

The Great Barn reserves the right to alter the tariffs without prior notice.

Please note the following requirements before confirming your reservation: Wedding Set-up, deliveries and appointments Set-up and deliveries for weddings are between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Appointments for show-rounds must be made in advance including at weekends.

Wedding Final Numbers

Final numbers are to be confirmed 7 days prior to the event.

Wedding Deposits and Cancellations

The hirer will pay A Day in the Country a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total facility hire (and ceremony costs if applicable) at the time of confirmed reservation. The balance is to be paid in full 14 days prior to the event. Reservations made within 30 days of the event, to be paid in full on confirmation. In the event of cancellation, the following charges will be made: cancellation of a confirmed booking – loss of deposit. Cancellation with less than six months notice – 100% of estimated total charge.

General

All wines and drinks to be purchased from our very competitively priced bar. All guests should have left the premises by 12.20am. Taxis and other transport should be arranged accordingly, prior to the event. All lettings are subject to acceptance of the terms and conditions of The Great Barn.

Wedding Entertainment and Wedding Marquees

The disco is charged at £280.00 this is for the hours of 8:00pm to midnight, if the disco is required earlier there will be an extra charge. The disco includes all lights and equipment and DJ. Cancelling the disco will result in a charge depending on the notice given. Marquee extensions must be arranged through The Great Barn.

Damage and Liability

A charge will be made for any damage or loss of the Great Barn’s fixtures and decorations, or to the property including carpets.

Civil Wedding Ceremonies

The room in which the wedding ceremony is held and anything within the room must be of a non-secular nature and not reflect religious beliefs. Smoking or the consumption of food is not permitted before or during the ceremony. Guests should be advised to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the Service.

Wedding Confetti

We do allow confetti outside at The Great Barn but could you please make your guests aware that it must be biodegradable. The type of confetti, sprinkles and candles used on the tables in the Barn must be approved by The Great Barn beforehand.

Bouncy Castles

If you wish to have a bouncy castle this must be approved by The Great Barn and all bouncy castles will be placed in the paddock by the car park and a supervisor must be on hand at all times to supervise the bouncy castle.
