Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at The Great Barn
The Great Barn, in its tranquil location, provides the perfect place to have your wedding, reception or private party.
The converted 17th Century barn is divided into two rooms, which are both licensed for Civil Ceremonies and provide an ideal location for weddings.
Both rooms are approximately 60 foot x 20 foot and are interconnecting, both have central heating. The Aynho Room has two log fires and seats 60 people, whilst the Croughton Room seats 120 people.
Marquee extensions can be added if required. A new entrance lobby has recently been added, which provides toilet facilities for ladies and gentlemen as well as disabled facilities. Ample car parking facilities are available.
Wedding Management Service
At the Great Barn we realise how important your wedding day is to you, we also want you to enjoy the day.
To take away the strains of organising the day, one of our wedding organisers will co-ordinate the event. We will have detailed meetings during the run up to the wedding, and during the day the organiser will attend to ensure everything runs smoothly. This is all included in the facility hire cost.
Civil Ceremonies
Both the Aynho and the Croughton Room are licensed for Civil Ceremonies. Once a reservation has been made at The Great Barn, the Registrar must be contacted and booked by yourselves, they will take bookings up to 12 months in advance, however, provisional bookings may be made earlier.
A separate fee is payable to the Registrar.

The Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast can be tailored to suit any requirements including formal seated dinners with waitress service, or a buffet style meal or even a barbeque. Our catering organisers are flexible and can accommodate any specific wishes you may have and offer a wide variety of menus.
The Great Barn provides all wines, spirits and soft drinks at competitive rates and also provides all glassware and drinks service. A full pay bar is also provided. Included in the hire costs are chairs and tables for up to 180 guests (more can be hired if required).
Evening Entertainment
The Great Barn can help you to organise a disco, live band, casino or any other entertainment you may require for your reception or party.
We can also recommend and provide assistance in all aspects of planning your day such as, flowers, cake, photographer or wedding cars.
